Language Tutoring
If you are studying a language and need additional help, such as doing homework assignments, preparing for tests and presentations, or improving your writing/reading/speaking skills, miaLingua is here for you! We tutor in the following languages:
- English
- Russian
- Spanish
Tutoring may take place at any location that is convenient for both the client and the tutor; generally, places such as libraries, book stores and coffee shops appeal to both parties.
The rate for private tutoring is $30 per hour. Groups of 2 or more – $20 per hour.
Tutors are designed for those learners who are either taking language classes elsewhere or are studying the language on their own and are in need of extra help. Tutors’ duties may include, but are not limited to: checking written exercises for errors, working on pronunciation and reading, going over grammatical structures and practicing speaking. When meeting with a tutor, you are expected to bring your own materials such as books, notebooks, flashcards, etc. You are encouraged to come to the tutoring sessions ready with specific questions and assignments.
